Lymphotactin/XCL1 Proteins, Antibodies, cDNA Clones, ELISA Kits Research Reagents

XCL1 (X-C Motif Chemokine Ligand 1) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 1q24.2. XCL1 is also known as LTN, ATAC, LPTN, SCM1, SCM-1, SCM1A, SCYC1 and SCM-1a. The human XCL1 gene encodes a 12517 Da protein containing 114 amino acids. Among its related pathways are RET signaling and Signaling by GPCR. XCL1 is related to protein homodimerization activity and chemokine receptor binding. XCL2 is an important paralog of XCL1 gene. XCL1 is associated with some diseases, including Renal Tuberculosis and Sodoku Disease.

        Lymphotactin/XCL1 分子背景

This antimicrobial gene encodes a member of the chemokine superfamily. Chemokines function in inflammatory and immunological responses, inducing leukocyte migration and activation. The encoded protein is a member of the C-chemokine subfamily, retaining only two of four cysteines conserved in other chemokines, and is thought to be specifically chemotactic for T cells. This gene and a closely related family member are located on the long arm of chromosome 1.
