PI3K gamma/Pik3cg Antibodies, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

PIK3CG (Phosphatidylinositol-4,5-Bisphosphate 3-Kinase Catalytic Subunit Gamma) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 7q22.3. PIK3CG is also known as PI3K, PIK3, PI3CG, PI3Kgamma, p110gamma and p120-PI3K. The human PIK3CG gene encodes a 126454 Da protein containing 1102 amino acids. The PIK3CG protein is broadly expressed in bone marrow, lymph node and other tissues. Among its related pathways are Association Between Physico-Chemical Features and Toxicity Associated Pathways and Common Cytokine Receptor Gamma-Chain Family Signaling Pathways. PIK3CG is related to transferase activity, transferring phosphorus-containing groups and binding. PIK3CB is an important paralog of PIK3CG gene. PIK3CG is associated with some diseases, including Tuberous Sclerosis and Sarcoma.

    PI3K gamma/Pik3cg 分子背景

Phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3Ks) phosphorylate inositol lipids and are involved in the immune response. The protein encoded by this gene is a class I catalytic subunit of PI3K. Like other class I catalytic subunits (p11-alpha p11-beta, and p11-delta), the encoded protein binds a p85 regulatory subunit to form PI3K. This gene is located in a commonly deleted segment of chromosome 7 previously identified in myeloid leukemias. Several transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
