PIK3CD cDNA Clones Research Reagents

PIK3CD (Phosphatidylinositol-4,5-Bisphosphate 3-Kinase Catalytic Subunit Delta) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 1p36.22. PIK3CD is also known as APDS, PI3K, IMD14, p110D, and P110DELTA. The human PIK3CD gene encodes a 119479 Da protein containing 1044 amino acids. The PIK3CD protein is broadly expressed in lymph node, bone marrow and other tissues. Among its related pathways are Common Cytokine Receptor Gamma-Chain Family Signaling Pathways and GDNF-Family Ligands and Receptor Interactions. PIK3CD is related to transferase activity, transferring phosphorus-containing groups and kinase activity. PIK3CB is an important paralog of PIK3CD gene. PIK3CD is associated with some diseases, including Immunodeficiency 14 and Roifman-Chitayat Syndrome.

PIK3CD 分子背景

Phosphoinositide 3-kinases (PI3Ks) phosphorylate inositol lipids and are involved in the immune response. The protein encoded by this gene is a class I PI3K found primarily in leukocytes. Like other class I PI3Ks (p11-alpha p11-beta, and p11-gamma), the encoded protein binds p85 adapter proteins and GTP-bound RAS. However, unlike the other class I PI3Ks, this protein phosphorylates itself, not p85 protein.
