TL1A Proteins, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

TNFSF15 (TNF Superfamily Member 15) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 9q32. TNFSF15 is also known as TL1, TL1A, VEGI, TNLG1B, and VEGI192A. The human TNFSF15 gene encodes a 28087 Da protein containing 251 amino acids. The TNFSF15 protein is broadly expressed in duodenum, urinary bladder and other tissues. Among its related pathways are Apoptosis Modulation and Signaling and TNF Superfamily - Human Ligand-Receptor Interactions and their Associated Functions. TNFSF15 is related to signaling receptor binding and tumor necrosis factor receptor binding. TNF is an important paralog of TNFSF15 gene. TNFSF15 is associated with some diseases, including Primary Biliary Cirrhosis and Diverticulitis.

      TL1A 分子背景

TL1A, also known as TNFSF15, is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. It is specifically expressed in endothelial cells. TL1A also can be detected in monocytes, placenta, lung, liver, kidney, skeletal muscle, pancreas, spleen, prostate, small intestine and colon. TL1A is a ligand for receptor TNFRSF25 and decoy receptor TNFRSF21/DR6. It mediates activation of NF-kappa-B. It also inhibits vascular endothelial growth and angiogenesis (in vitro). TL1A promotes activation of caspases and apoptosis. It is also found to inhibit endothelial cell proliferation, and thus may function as an angiogenesis inhibitor.
