VEGF B Proteins, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

VEGFB (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor B) is a protein coding gene located on human chromosome 11q13.1. VEGFB is also known as VRF and VEGFL. The human VEGFB gene encodes a 21602 Da protein containing 207 amino acids. The VEGFB protein is broadly expressed in fat, heart and other tissues. Among its related pathways are HIF1Alpha Pathway and Signaling by GPCR. VEGFB is related to protein homodimerization activity and growth factor activity. VEGFA is an important paralog of VEGFB gene. VEGFB is associated with some diseases, including Macular Degeneration, Age-Related, 1 and Macular Retinal Edema.

      VEGF B 分子背景

Vascular endothelial growth factor-B (VEGF-B) is closely related to VEGF-A, an effector of blood vessel growth during development and disease and a strong candidate for angiogenic therapies. In detail, VEGFB can positively prevent the Ang II-induced rising in the size of cardiomyocyte as well as reduce Ang II-induced mRNA and protein levels of β-MHC (β-myosin heavy chain), BNP (brain natriuretic peptide), and ANP (atrial natriuretic peptide). Moreover, VEGFB can regulate the decline of the Ang II-induced rising in Ca2+.
