ZDHHC12 Antibodies, cDNA Clones Research Reagents

ZDHHC12 (Zinc Finger DHHC-Type Palmitoyltransferase 12, also known as ZNF400; DHHC-12), located on 9q34.11, is a Protein Coding gene. The gene produces a 30813 Da protein composed of 267 amino acids. It belongs to the DHHC palmitoyltransferase family and is ubiquitously expressed in the colon, stomach, and other tissues. ZDHHC12-mediated S-palmitoylation promotes the cell membrane localization of claudin-3 (CLDN3) and maintains its stability in ovarian cancer cells, contributing to the oncoprotein function of CLDN3.

    ZDHHC12 分子背景

ZDHHC12 (Zinc Finger DHHC-Type Palmitoyltransferase 12) is a Protein Coding gene. The ZDHHC12 gene, located on 9q34.11, is conserved in chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, and frog. ZDHHC12 belongs to the DHHC palmitoyltransferase family. 3 alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. ZDHHC12 is widely expressed in the colon, stomach, and other tissues. ZDHHC12-mediated S-palmitoylation promotes the cell membrane localization of claudin-3 (CLDN3) and maintains its stability in ovarian cancer cells, contributing to the oncoprotein function of CLDN3. Targeting ZDHHC12-mediated CLDN3 S-palmitoylation might be a potential strategy for ovarian cancer therapy. 225 organisms have orthologs with the human gene ZDHHC12.
