AMFR 背景信息

Autocrine motility factor receptor (AMFR/gp78), a receptor for autocrine motility factor (AMF), is a cell surface glycoprotein of 78000 molecular weight, regulating cell motility signaling in vitro and metastasis in vivo. AMFR, is also localized to the endoplasmic reticulum where it functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase. Expression of both AMF/PGI and gp78/AMFR is associated with cancer. AMF and AMFR are overexpressed in human breast cancer and are negatively associated with patients' clinical outcome. The AMF-AMFR complex plays an important role in the progression of breast cancer, as well as having a prognostic role.
