PDLIM1 背景信息

PDLIM1 (PDZ And LIM Domain 1) is a Protein Coding gene. The PDLIM1 gene, located on 10q23.33, is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, and frog. This gene encodes a member of the enigma protein family. The protein contains two protein-interacting domains, a PDZ domain at the amino-terminal end and one to three LIM domains at the carboxyl-terminal. PDLIM1 is widely expressed in the small intestine, colon, and other tissues, and the protein may function as an adapter to bring other LIM-interacting proteins to the cytoskeleton. Pseudogenes associated with this gene are located on chromosomes 3, 14, and 17. Diseases associated with PDLIM1 include Supravalvular Aortic Stenosis and Donohue Syndrome.
