1. Capture Antibody 0.25 mg/mL of mouse anti-Human FTL/ferritin, light polypeptide monoclonal antibody (in PBS, pH 7.4). Dilute to a working concentration of 2 μg/mL in PBS before coating. (Catalog: # 12482-MM02) 2. Detection Antibody 0.2 mg/mL of rabbit anti-Human FTL/ferritin, light polypeptide polyclonal antibody conjugated to horseradish-peroxidase (HRP) (in PBS, 50 % HRP-Protector, pH 7.4, store at 4℃). Dilute to working concentration of 1 μg/mL in detection antibody dilution buffer before use. 3. Standard Each vial contains 20 ng of recombinant Human FTL/ferritin, light polypeptide. Reconstitute with 1 mL detection antibody dilution buffer. After reconstitution, store at -20℃ to -80℃ in a manual defrost freezer. A seven-point standard curve using 2-fold serial dilutions in sample dilution buffer, and a high standard of 3000 pg/mL is recommended.

Ferritin, light polypeptide (FTL) is the light subunit of the ferritin protein. Ferritin is the major intracellular iron storage protein in prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of 24 subunits of the heavy and light ferritin chains. Storage of iron in the tissues occurs in the form of ferritin and hemosiderin. The latter originates from ferritin that has undergone intracellular digestion of its protein shell, leaving the iron core. Ferritin and hemosiderin are components of a continuum. Ferritin has been identified in all types of living organisms: animals, plants, molds, and bacteria. Whithin the protein shell of ferritin, iron is first oxidized to the ferric state for storage as ferric oxyhdroxide. Thus, ferritin removes excess iron from the cell sap where it could otherwise participate in peroxidation mechanisms.
