Appears to be a negative regulator of type-1 angiotensin II receptor-mediated signaling by regulating receptor internalisation as well as mechanism of receptor desensitization such as phosphorylation. Induces also a decrease in cell proliferation and angiotensin II-stimulated transcriptional activity.
AGTRAP protein expression
Ubiquitous but more abundant in kidney, heart, pancreas and thyroid.
AGTRAP cDNA / gene is a gene with protein product which located on 1p36.22. The AGTRAP gene is conserved in chimpanzee, Rhesus monkey, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, and frog. 233 organisms have orthologs with human gene AGTRAP.
