SNP Analysis

A Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) is a DNA sequence variation occurring commonly within a population in which a single nucleotide — A, T, C or G — in the genome differs between members of a biological species or paired chromosomes. For example, two sequenced DNA fragments from different individuals, ATGCGTA to ATGCATA, contain a difference in a single nucleotide.

Basic principle of SNP method

HRM Analysis

High Resolution Melt (HRM) analysis is a new gene analysis technique based on melting curve of different forms because of different single nucleotide melting temperature. SNP is analyzed through HRM.
